3D printed White Cane

In Africa alone, 26.3 million people are visually impared. Sadly, only 10 percent of these people have access to a white cane, which allows them to visualize the world around them. The white canes that are available to them are of extremely low quality and high price. This acts as a deterrent for large organizational purchases, preventing people from accessing this life changing technology. We have developed a white cane that can be easily manufactured and shipped, costing  twenty-five percent the cost of the main competitor. Our cane is easily collapsible, making it easier for students to use and can be customized to the requested size of the end user. We have already built a connection with our first community target, the Salaama School for the Blind, who are interested in 100 of our canes, which this funding will help us create and distribute.
